Take a Look at Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth Arriving in a Helicopter for the 2.0 Press Meet
2.0 is all set to be Bollywood’s biggest-budget film to date, and the press conference ahead of the film’s highly-anticipated audio launch showed us that the team is certainly not doing things halfway! In a true Bollywood dhamakedar entry, 2.0 stars Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson arrived at the iconic Burj Al Arab in a helicopter, before making their way to the venue. The top-billed cast were accompanied by music composer A.R. Rahman, producer Allirajah Subaskaran and director S. Shankar.

The press conference gave audiences a glimpse into the exhilarating (and expensive) movie-making experience. Heralding a new age in Indian cinema, 2.0 is shot entirely in 3D with a production cost of US$90 million and has Hollywood stalwarts such as costume designer Mary E. Vogt and stunt coordinator Kenny Bates associated with the film. 2.0 is certainly setting benchmarks for Bollywood films to follow.

The 2.0 team shared their excitement and experiences shooting for the sci-fi film. Akshay Kumar will be debuting as a villain in a Tamil film, and we can’t wait to see him in his new role. Amy Jackson shared that she was thrilled to be working with the legends of Indian cinema.
The audio-launch for 2.0 is set to be one of the biggest film events for 2017. It will be the first film to have its audio launch in Burj Park in Downtown Dubai and is expected to draw over 6,000 people to watch the Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman perform live with over 125 symphony musicians.
